One way AI is misunderstood is when people assume it works like the human brain. In reality, it’s more like the running app I used today while pacing my friend. The app gave me numbers, pace, distance, time, and I trusted it to track our run. But the app didn’t know how my body felt or how my friend was struggling at certain moments. It had no sense of fatigue, motivation, or the need to slow down. That part was up to me. I had to listen to my body, watch her condition, and make real-time decisions beyond what the numbers were showing.
AI works the same way. It can provide accurate data and helpful solutions, but it doesn’t truly understand context. If people treat AI as if it “thinks” like us, they’ll either overtrust it or fear it. The truth is, humans still need to guide, interpret, and make the final call. AI is powerful, but it’s a tool not a replacement for human judgment.
